I can't speak about the Jard trigger for the 700, but I did recently install one on a Cooper varmint rifle. It was the 8 ounce model, and after a little fiddling with the adjustments, I would judge it to be excellent. I was able to tune it to be crisp with imperceptible overtravel - very similar to a Jewell I have in another rifle.
