Range Report JBM vs Ballistic FTE

Anybody got any views on the output of these two models vs the real world? I have been using JBM for ages and have now got FTE on the iPhone. Results are close but different even on the same input. Drop is about the same but windage is a bit different.

Lesson learned, they are models but views woudl be appreciated

I was shooting yesterday using ballistic fte. Just put in the numbers, moved the turrets and boom 1st round hits at 450 yards on 8x5inch target.It works....

Cool. Any wind? My drop calcs agree between the programs but windage is different for some reason.

Ballistic FTE has JBM as the engine now. I usually get around .1 mils difference from real dope to FTE. These programs are very accurate if used correctly. Lindy has a post explaining it in much more detail. Do a search, you'll find awnsers

You can get Ballistic in almost complete agreement with JBM, particularly now that it has the option of using the JBM engine. The most important thing to get right is the Current Atmosphere settings. First off, disable Zero Atmosphere. Then, go into Current Atmosphere and turn off "Estimate Pressure". After that, simply ensure that your other values are identical to what you're putting into JBM.
