I got this gun for free becuase it wouldn't fire from a friends dad. He is not a gun person and he got it from his brother about 10yrs ago he said. I looked up some info on it and it is dated from 1953-56 since it didn't have a date stamp on the barrel

When I got it the hardware bolt that was screed into the bolt was hitting the reciever and wouldn't rack a round.

I took it apart gave it a good cleaning and since I'm in school and broke I couldn't afford the $70+ for a new bolt and charge handle but I knew I could make something work and not be ghetto like the current setup.
A friend from school has a CNC machine at his work so I got a spare peice of scrap aluminium from school, gave him the broken peice of the stock charge handle and the bolt and he set me up

He welded the holes the dummy drilled into the bolt and machined me a new charge handle.

The handle when I got it back was straight and unpleasent to use so I decided to get some QuickSteel from the parts store and make something better

The charge handle is a bit big but it feels so nice I make make it a bit smaller though but all in all I have about $6 in the gun and it shoots awesome now so I can't really complain too much.
