I was watching Aljazzera English this mornig -great news channel if anyone doesnt watch it and quite the oppersite of what I thought it was -anyways I watched Jessie Ventura talking about his new book and wondered if anyone has read it and what your thoughts were ? worth a read ?

Re: Jessie Ventura

He's starting to sound like a nut-job, but he was in politics long enough that i wonder about the things he says. (have not read any of his books) (but have watched Predator)

Re: Jessie Ventura

The Book is called 63 documents and are all in the public domain -he levels some fairly serious allegations at some people in the US govt .He has a conspiracy show also I believe -generally I find those that follow every theory are nut jobs -butttt some are not!

Re: Jessie Ventura

He has outlived his usefulness but I am more than sure you will be hearing more from him. Like T.V. American politics is beginning to look more like a reality T.V. show and he is great for that. When will Snooki run?

Re: Jessie Ventura

He is a very entertaining person. He goes on Howard Stern often and his talks make me laugh. In case you need more info, he was a Navy Seal in Vietnam, a pro wrestler, a movie star, and a gov. He now lives in Mexico and said he will get dual citizenship pretty soon. He lives off the grid down there and collects info for his books. He makes SOME valid claims, but he is getting to the "nut-job" status in my book. However, he is very entertaining to listen to on the radio.

Re: Jessie Ventura

i saw him get knocked the hell out for being a liberal fag at Mc. P's in coronado.

and he wasn't a SEAL he was a UDT i'm pretty sure (yes there is a seperation). and his training class was a no bell class for those that know what that means, i'm just saying.

I think when he went trough UDT though it was when UDT/Frogmen was the only game in town, SEALs came shortly thereafter. I don't know when that swap happened but UDT was what we call SEALs now and would have been around the time he went though the service (guessing his age is 55-65ish). So calling him a SEAL is still pretty accurate. I've never heard of a "no-bell" BUDs call but the whole bell thing may have came into being during the swap from UDT-BUDs...

Yup, UDT. Not to belittle him though, in that aspect. However, he is very evasive about his military service if questioned about things he supposedly has done there. He says things that may lead one to believe other than the actual reality although he's technically not lying.

I always got a kick out his fishing story where he used lures made by "Dupont". If you get the gist.

He had a radio show in the Twin Cities some years ago that was entertaining.

Yeah, I don't know all the details. I'm just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Jessie Ventura

I saw the interview today too. My friends and I couldn't listen too well as we were too busy laughing/being disgusted at the little bit we did catch. Namely he was saying the soldier that leaked all the documents to w!kilks was nothing more than a whistle-blower and shouldn't be in jail, and he also believes there's evidence that 9-11 was an inside job is in the classified documents he stole but has yet to be released by them.

I won't go in depth with what I think of the guy, but I don't think my opinion is hidden either.

Re: Jessie Ventura

Yep ,same interview I saw Redmanss ,Truth is I found it quite interesting because he didn't come across a real loony although the Aljazera interviewer gave some comments an unbelieving wray smile -although I have not seen his conspiracy theory show which I imagine is the popcorn hour.

He was introduced as an ex navy seal which he didn't refute -he looks like a big bastard that's for sure. I must say some things he says make you think -but that's conspiracy theory's for you !
