Can any one give me their opinion about a company called Jet Suppressors in Texas. Are the cans any good?

The products from Jet sound like quality products.
The customer complaints seem to all sound like:
"I've been completely ignored / can't get ahold of this company / have been waiting too long for signs of life."
Nobody is perfect, but that is probably one of the more serious problems to have in business. It's not a minor thing IMO.

I have one of their .22 cans and one of their .338 cans. It took me a year to get them in my hands but they took my money immediately. I also had MGSS thread an Anschutz .22, 10-22 barrel, and a Ruger MKIII at the same time I bought the suppressors.. I didn't see those guns for nine months. I would have four month breaks in contact with the company followed by and excuse, then another four month break. The only way I got anything moving was to send them a registered letter threatening them with fraud. When I got my guns back they were in a box, not separated by padding and a little banged up, the Anschutz was re-assembled incorrectly.
Their suppressors are good and I have no complaints. They look well done with no welds or machining marks and they are plenty quiet. The only zero shift is on the .338. The shift is repeatable and is probably because of the weight at the end of a 27" in barrel. If I ever have any problems with them I will probably just saw them in half and send them to the ATF. I am looking to Surefire and Thunder Beast next.

While I have no experience with Jet suppressors, I can make some generalizations that many people may not consider.
Generally, people in this line of business are engineering types.
Generally, engineering types are perfectionists and somewhat introverted.
Generally, they do not have good people/customer service skills.
Generally, they do not have good business skills.
Perfectionists = it may take a long time for them to get anything done because they cannot feel like they're done unless it's perfect in their mind.
Generally, they do a great job if they are left alone to do their work.
Generally, they need someone to do the customer interaction/sales/book keeping/office management for them.
Generally, this person is a girlfriend or wife or poorly paid person who doesn't really know anything about the technical aspects of the business and has resistance to learning about it.
Of course there are exceptions to the above - they are not rules.
While these may not apply to Jet suppressors, they do 'generally' apply to small shops in this business.

So you open a business, run it poorly and then have no customer service to speak of and me (your customer) are supposed to just let it be so you can "perfect" things? At what time do I get angry because its taking you 9 months to get my suppressor that I paid for?
That is to many excuses. Business owners have to be held liable for mistakes. Sounds to me like that is just a long line of BS to get you out of hot water with your customers. Best thing to do is not offer the product until it has been tested, made in decent quantities then released to public.

The suppressors on their own are very good, I have 4 of them, and my original 30 cal has in excess of 12,000 round through it. I like it. But the business of Jet is unfortunately very unreliable. You are really taking a chance in most people's opinion based on a lot of history of past and present personal experiences.
ThunderBeast is the way to go, they improved on the Jet design, the can is quiet, it's the most accurate one I have tested out of all of the 30 cal Ti cans I own, which includes, competitive brands. You can now get it with a brake or thread on, which I recommend the thread on, but the new TBAC brake / adapter is awesome. Very positive lock up.

I lived the jet nightmare for about a year, I would say look elsewhere....I was unhappy with every aspect of the way they did business with me, the can was OK, but loud compared to others they got the threads wrong, and blamed me until I showed them the email stating the pitch I needed.
I got rid of it and now happily shoot other brands.

Just picked up my 3rd TBAC 30P-1 in FDE finish. It complements my Surgeon Scalpel very nicely. I seriously dont think you can do much better then TBAC as far as thread on cans. My 30BA is still with the NFA peoples.

I was just citing past personal experience with various small shops in the NFA and firearms business. They are held liable for their mistakes - they go out of business.

Shark is good to go! I have a 300WM Tigershark and its a great can. The take apart feature is what they really have going for them.

To clarify something, the 30P-1 has no design relation to the JET suppressor designs whatsoever.
Before we started the company, I owned two JET suppressors, a .308 and a .338. They were a good precision rifle suppressor in their time, but heavier and louder than what is on the market now. The business problems have been documented here over time, if you want to search for them.

Shark Can is the way to go. You will get first rate service with David but you won't need the customer service because his cans are high quality. The take apart feature mentioned is one of the reasons to buy but the seller for me was being able to change thread adapters and move it from rifle to rifle. Check out a Shark before you buy.

I'm a big fan of the Shark suppressors as well. I have a Jet that I bought in a shop, so I didn't have to deal with their Customer Service, but their can is really nice. That being said, if I had to do it all over again, I'd get a Shark and call it good.

I have an older .223TI can from Jet/Mike ...It does what it's supposed to do ? I would say as I have never DB tested it against anything else on the market but it is quiet .
I too had to wait a Loooong time to get my can from him , but this was quite awhile ago ...lets just say ser# is in low 30's from when he first started making the titanium suppressors
