Maggie’s Joe Lewis, the guy who could beat Chuck Norris

Saw this in our local paper this morning. I have never heard of the guy and he was from right down the road. Apparently he was a real stud who started kearning karate in the Marines and went on to be the best tournament fighter of all time. He trained under Bruce Lee and was a multple time world champion.

I think you're confusing him with Gen. Matthis. He'd stop the dog shit out of chuck norris. Although, I have been wrong before.

Looked in to that guy and he's certainly a beast.

I remember seeing him on some TV talk show (yeah, I'm a geezer, so what?). He was demonstrating the punch that no one could stop on another guest who was a golden gloves boxer. They were standing on stage and Joe threw this lighting fast punch and the other guy never moved. There was a bit of a chuckle in the audience and the guy then told Joe, "well, I didn't know it was coming." joe gave him a kind of funny look like do people normally tell you? Then he shrugged his shoulders, said OK, ready? Here it comes, and threw it again, and again the guy barely made a move. He was really fast from what I remember.

There was once a man who thought he beat Chuck Norris, 40 some years later he died of a brain tumor. Coincidence? I think not!
