I've been on JPs site, playing around with the rifle builder and have a couple questions for the experts here....I plan on using the Gen 2 UBR and will shoot un suppressed for the most part. I do have a TB Ultra 9 30 caliber suppressor I may run every now and then but not steadily. I'm a little confused as to which bolt carrier and buffer system to order. I assume I would want the low mass carrier and maybe the regular captured spring buffer for reduced recoil and the full mass carrier and heavier captured spring would be best if I run the suppressor???? BTW, I did send an email to JP with these same questions. Obviously they are BUSY. LOL

I’ve heard if you want to shoot supressed go with the VMOS bolt. They say you don’t need to screw with gas adjustment going between suppressed and unsuppressed with this bolt. Have no personal experience with it though

As I understand it, the VMOS will provide more reliability when the rifle becomes dirty. I really plan on using it mostly without the suppressor and have just about settled on the low mass bolt carrier and the H2 captured spring. Just hoping to get some feedback from owners. I'm assuming with the adjustable gas block, most configurations would function properly. Maybe I should buy the standard and the H2.....

Adam responded to my email and I’m squared away now. I’m going with the low mass carrier and the H2 captured spring. He did tell me the lead time is currently 6 to 8 weeks. I’m going to try and unload a couple of rifles and get this one ordered next week.

Have both low mass and variable mass. In a comped rifle the low mass has less reticle movement during recoil. In the suppressed rifle the Vmos actually has less reticle movement. The trick to either system is to actually adjust the gas block properly. This will obviously be done from the factory with your carrier setup.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised at how little the Vmos recoiled with a SiCo omega. It's a wonderful new shooter gun, low recoil and way less noise than a comp.
