This one actually looks like it's based off the graphic novel, not the goofy one they made in the 90's.

saw the previews and it looks way more violent and not campy like the first one, what is not to like, cleaning up a huge building full of bad guys.

At first, I thought...terrible. After seeing the trailer a few times, it may have potential (especially if the 3D is good). I am concerned about "Bones" from Star Trek being the star.

I don't know... his acting has never been good to me. While some of that may be the writing (Doom, Priest, etc.) he chose those roles. Even in LTOR and the new Star Trek (which I liked) I think he left a lot to be desired.

Saw it. Loved it. An excellent shoot-em-up! This Dredd would kick Stallone's ass.

Saw it last night in 3D with the wife. We both thought it was excellent. I have a little different take: think "Die Hard" meets the "Terminator".
3D is excellent. I never read the comic (didn't really know there was one), so I can't comment on that aspect. This is a straight forward 1.5 hours of dispelling "justice".
Slow mo kill shots that will have you laughing like "Sin City".
I reccomend seeing this in 3D. Worth the money. Yes, the plot has been rehashed more times than can be counted, but it's not a plot movie: it's shooting action.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this looked good; Satan's bionical flamesuit wouldn't have saved me from the berating I got for that stance.
