Just a quick note. Friday I shot a 247-13x with my son's Savage MKII BTV with the same scope setup and ammo from 100 yards and from the same bench. Though my score above of 244-8x is pretty good for me these days, that MKII BTV of my son's is an outstanding shooting rifle. One I feel is more then capable of a 100 yard (100YB-TQ4) score of 250 some day. Since I was just checking the zero on the MKII BTV, I will not lay claim to that score as it's not my rifle. I will add that both Friday's and todays weather conditions were for all purpose - the same.

I drove to the range and then discovered that I brought 100 yard targets. So I shot 200 anyway and overlaid the 200 yard target center when I got back. [img:center]http://

Re: JULY 2012 SH LONG RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Joe Martin shot a 247-13x for the 100 yard YB-TQ4, his own rifle or not shouldn't matter. i think.
Top Predator, Thanks again for taking the time edit and post the scores.

Re: JULY 2012 SH LONG RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Thanks for the thought Oneforall, but that outing with my son's MKII-BTV rifle was just to check his zero and I just happened to have TQ-4 targets in my van, so I decided to shoot a 25 shot string with it. I had no intentions of turning that target in as I had every intention of using my MKII-FVT for our SH 100YB-TQ4 comp. I was merely pointing out that I feel the MKII-BTV is an outstanding rifle, no doubt about it.

Good shooting my friend.
