There is no accurate death count as coroners have reported they have little to none virus tests to see what many people have actually died from. The tests are in such short supply, there are not enough to test the whole population of the U.S. yet. Once you are tested, theoretically, one could walk out the door, interact with someone who does and then get the virus.
The numbers are bullshit when there is financial incentive to list a death a certain way.......

Sounds like your daughter was laid off because she worked in a ward or department for non essential or elective surgeries. The hospitals here have been ordered to keep non essentials and the like away due to the hospitals being a hot bed for infection.

MUSC, ROPER group and Midlands are the largest employers of laid off medical staff in the state. And New York’s paying of contract or travel med staff is due to their high rate of infection cap area to the rest of the country. It’s essentially a version of mil hazard pay.
