Anybody got any experience with chrony your gun and having leupold send you a custom set of dials. My chrony comes in today I believe and plan on doing a 10 shot sequence to get my avarage muzzle velocity. How accurate should I plan on these dials being? The gun shoots 1/2 moa right now with the standard dials on it...should I expect the same kind of result but just being able to dial up my scope for longer distances. Or are the click adjustments on these dials going to be different than the standard leupold dials?

The custom dial will be just like the one it has now except it'll have little yardage numbers on it as well as the regular MOA markings.

I looked into this, but I'm just going to get mil dials for mine. I've got a mil-dot so now I'll have matching reticle and turrets. I think it's probably just as much a PITA to figure out the custom dials as it is to convert MOA/MIL. What reticle are you using?

just a normal duplex at the moment. I just got the scope so I have no had time to really mess with it much aside from zeroing the gun at 100. I was thinking about changing it out tho to a MIL-DOT so I could call my wind holds.

I will be trying this gun out on my dot drill targets this weekend. The practical tactical target!
we will see how good it really shoots then.

If your just using a duplex then you will be alright with whichever adjustments you want to use on your turrets. When using a mil dot or any mil based reticle you'll want mil adjustments and moa when using a moa reticle, etc....I'd try it out first before dropping a lot of money in it.
