just got a like new howa 1500

I just traded my s&w m&p45 for a like new howa m1500 chambered in 30-06. It has a cheapo walmart centerpoint 16x scope. I took it out today to sight it in and at 150 to 200 yards i was taking out mini gatorade bottles. Anyone out there familiar enough with the rifle to know what i should be running for a scope and id also like to find a picatinny rail to mount the new scope.

I run EGW on my Howa's, but Ken Farrel also makes a nice one piece base.
