Suppressors Just got my harvester 300

Keep it clean before it gets too heavy. Since its aluminum and stainless you can't use any CLR, or "the dip", or regular simple green. I have found that the Berrymans Chemdip woks decent enough.

I bought mine used and the buildup was pretty bad. It functions fine but it's about 5 ounces heavier than new.

After 8 month wait my harvester came in, haven’t had a chance to take it out yet... planning on running cole tac cover... anything else I should know outside of the basics
Check out one of our covers. Send it back if you don’t think it’s the best out there.

i will be odd man out here and tell you you can in fact clean the harvester with clr. It’s really the only thing the strips carbon from a suppressor the way it does.

clr has no effect on anodized aluminum and the core is fully welded stainless on the harvester. I have cleaned mine twice with clr and fired another thousand center fire rounds through it without issue.

I have had a Harvester for a couple of years but never used a cover as the dealer told me not to given the aluminum body construction and need to cool down between shot strings. Did they give me bad advice? If not, don’t want someone else to ruin a nice can.

I don’t think it supposed to, but it has been like that since new.
Is yours a 30 or a big bore 338? I know for a fact the big bores is not supposed to be. I live near silencerco and have been over there many a time to beg them to give me a flat end cap while I am swapping parts or having shit fixed lol.

mine is a 300, not the big bore. It’s not supposed to, but for some reason it does. It has never come loose shooting, but can be unscrewed by hand.

I’ll do a quick dispell of your typical harvester info. The core is fully welded stainless the aluminum is simply a sleeve giving it a nice round suppressor body and keeping the weight down. I have approximately 5000rds through mine and much of it has been in match environment with hot 10-12rd strings of fire. This can has ran perfect and really gets no hotter than any titanium can I have. Maybe even less. Run a cover on it. Slide it back and let it cool between strings like any other can.

lots of people talk about not cleaning centerfire cans or not needing to. Even some mfg. that is simply bullshit. Carbon builds up. The longer it builds the worse it gets. clean it.

lastly clr can harm aluminum but raw aluminum. The anodizing on the can protects the alum. I’ve cleaned mine a couple times with 48hr submerged soaks without any issue. No color change etc. giant globs of carbon pouring out though. That is for sure.

What do you use to flush the CLR out of the can after it's soaked?
