KAC Rail Covers

Am I misunderstanding the concept or is the design that they only lock up on a limited spot on your typical pictinny where the "edge" of the rail is "open" otherwise they slide fore and aft at will?

Finding that to be reality trying to use them on an LMT CQB monolithic upper.

Yes they will slide back and fourth. What I used to do is cut up some of those magpul covers and put a piece at the end of the kac rail cover. Secured them pretty good.

That is correct. The KAC rails have "spot" in the forward and aft sections. For LMT, use LMT rail covers.

Yeah the LMT covers are basically skinny tango down covers. They engage any chosen recoil rail slot.

Better tactile feel on the KAC covers though.

Ordered some more LMT covers - God they are proud of them and the price reflects it. Thinking I may sand one down and try stippling it.
