Gunsmithing KAC URX 3.1 removal

Hello everyone Im trying to remove a 3.1 URX forend, I have done one before and have the tool but can not remember the exact steps I toot to do it. What I am wondering is once you take the lower rail section of do you have to remove the gas block before loosening the barrel nut? this rail does not allow me to get a punch in to push out the tapered gas block pins, so I assume the barrel nut needs to be removed to possibly allow some wiggle room for the rail so I can get a punch on the tapered pins? Am I missing something?!?!

Remove the lower rail, remove barrel but, pull barrel, turn off top rail. Use heat as there is quite a bit of loc tite

thank you so i guess removing the gas tube is not required as it comes off as a unit with the barrel thank you.

Correct. Just an FYI the gas blocks are a bitch to get off
