I bought an upper from them recently, it was their rifle length gas 16”. Can’t say I was overly impressed with the handguard. Not that it felt flimsy, but the finish looked like it was powder coated. It also didn’t index correctly with the upper. The only way to fix that would be to remove material on one of the tabs that are designed to index it correctly with the upper receiver.
The barrel looked good with a bore scope and shot decent. The best part of the whole deal was the bcg, can’t tell it apart from a Microbest.
If I were to buy from them again it would only be individual components.

I have a couple of their 12.5" mid gas barrels, one in 5.56 and one in 6mm ARC. Haven't worked up loads in either yet but the 5.56 is good for ~1.5" with 75gr AAC Saber black tip, plenty good for something that wears a 3x prism and is intending for around the property. I will be working up loads for the ARC after deer season, but a brief session with 108gr factory looked good, and it dropped a few deer well. Not bad for $70 for the 5.56 barrel and $140 for the ARC.
I do want to try one of their downward venting bcgs, as they seem to get pretty rave reviews for suppressed use.

I have bought all sorts of "small" parts from them ( 308 Buffers , K-Spec buffers, Downward Vent BCG's ( just ordered a 308 one )
I have been happy with all of it.
I also got one of their complete uppers a few weeks ago, the handguard was quite rigid to me ( I didn't notice anything about the finish )
I haven't tried any of the receiver sets, but I image they would be GTG. I prefer a tight upper to lower fitment, so my goto has been SOLGW.

Myself and a buddy each have one. They're both solidly sub 2 moa with blaster ammo and red dots, so I'm sure they have more potential than that but it doesn't matter for our purposes. I'm more than happy for the money I paid.
I’ve bought various small parts from them over the years (they have a great buffer weight kit) and few handguards. For the money their handguards are pretty good value. Not too thin, nice beefy barrel nut etc…I slightly prefer the barrel nut of SOLGW so ive been using them more recently but wouldn’t hesitate to use their handguard in a “budget” build.
Great customer service as well.
Edit: I would only use the handguard for a blaster type build, not for precision/SPR build. Barrel nut is steel but kinda soft and max torque spec is kinda low and it sort of needs timed to line up with the gas tube.

Speaking of KAK, every now and then I check out their barrels section to see what weird new stuff they're offering. Wasn't disappointed this time.

Damn, looks like most are out of stock. 14.5” with intermediate gas would shoot buttery smooth!
i bought some lefty AR uppers and BCG's that work great. didnt care for the HG's though, seems to thin
I've got 14.8" RLGS and 15" ILGS barrels and they are smoother than all my 14.5" and 13.7" mids by quite a bit. I see one of the 13.7" ILGS barrels in my future, I've wanted to get a custom one made for a while but can't stomach the custom barrel price for what I'd use the gun for.
No clue. It's pretty bothersome that there are like 4 different intermediates.
I couldn't ever get my 12.5" 6 ARC to do better than 2"-2.5", which was a waste to me for that chambering. To their credit even though KAK said that was within spec for them, they did refund my money. I wound up doing what I should have to start with and ordered another X-Caliber, 13", 7 twist mlgs, hopefully they'll be finishing and shipping that soon.
