Did Kalashnikov USA ever happen? A year or so ago they were supposedly opening a manufacturing site in FL. Are they building and shipping rifles? Their website almost looks abandoned... Thanks.

I think they are dead in the water. If anyone else has any info, I'd be curious but I haven't heard a thing and I thought the same...the website looks forgotten.

Last I saw, they had a booth at SHOT '17, but that the weapons they had on display looked haggard as all hell, so i second the dead in the water notion.

I think a high quality American made AK pattern rifle would be great.

With the recent addition of Veprs being added to the "no longer imported" list along with, Chinese Poly-techs, saigas and Arsenals. A high quality AK manufacture in the US would be a smart move.

Here's to hoping someone worthwhile can pick up that torch and carry it with success.

They were always Kalashnikov in name only, some 4th tier gun makers buying a license/branding.

I remember their Vityaz looked awesome. Also I think they had a nice lookin .338 bolt rifle in the works but I maybe mx/mis-remembering with a different Russian rifle company..

Don't trust Kalash USA until Rob Ski at AKOU shows it's worth. That's if they ever even produce an AK.
