One question before I buy this thing. Will it fit my stock? Not sure if my width is to much for this item. Anyone have and use one of these? I have a McMillan A5 for my 338lm any input will help thanks!

+1. Do it right. If you ever sell your rifle or your stock, which one would someone rather have; the Mcmillian, or the half assed $5.00 piece of Kydex and ill fitting hardware?

Or contact Joe at [email protected], and have him cut your existing stock for a LoggerHead install. He did my wife's A3, which was originally non-adjustable, and it's absolutely perfect. Pictures here:

Send it to Mcmillan! Although Mcmillan saddle cheack pieces may look similar in pictures, they are not!! The Mcmillan is made of rubber coated aluminum and has a thick aluminum bar which fits down into the stock and secures the thing.

If you want Mcmillian to do it it will cost you plenty and lots of time. It will be done right but it is no problem to do it right yourself with the Karsten. IMO it is not that much of an issue unless you are all thumbs.
That aftermarket Loggerhead adjustable looks really nice!

I put one on my B&C stock had the same issue, that being said as long as your not a moron and you make sure things are squared up it's a very simple process. I love mine, works great never had an issue coming loose, would recommend to anyone for an inexpensive check rest.
