Hey guys, I just got a 40 S&W STI eagle 5.1 in on trade and I really like the gun alot! I shot it today and I have never grouped so good with a pistol in my life! Granted, im not that good of a pistol shooter... but i was very impressed with this gun. It is an eagle 5.1 model with a hard chromed frame and black slide and grips. Apparently they dont make that model anymore either... so its kind of rare I guess. The pistol is VERY nice and apparently the guy that owned it before me only put 50 rounds down the tube and then put it in a safe. Today I put about 50 rounds down it and I just loved the thing...

Here is what Im wondering though... should I keep it? or sell it and buy another 1911 that I wouldnt feel as bad about dinging up a little bit. Im am just graduating from college and dont have a lot of money, so I was thinking if I could get a pretty penny out of it and then save some of the money and use some of the money to buy a springfield 1911 or something else that I might be better off.

I want to use the gun for these tactical matches that me and a buddy shoot in so I dont want to be afraid of putting a few dings and scratches on the gun. With the STI, im afraid to do that. So... what do yall think?

Is the STI really not that nice and I should just ding it up... or sell it and buy something else and have some money to put in the bank?

Thanks for the advice!

Keep it. I have the Eagle with the bushing barrel so I can shoot it in IDPA. If you start to shoot alot of competitions, you will see that there is alot of people shooting STI's.
