Currently have an FNP-45 that came from the factory with a thread protector. It won't stay on for shit so I often run it without the protector(and no can stupid ATF taking their time) should I send it back for another or is there anyway I could get it to lock down tight without having to have issues getting it on and off when the can does come?

I have the fnp-45 and it does the same thing, I was almost thinking about replacing the barrel with a non threaded one .and I was going to try some "plumbers tape" ... that Teflon tape that you use on a pipe threads but haven't tried yet, and being that im in good ole CT mine has to be registered because of the threaded barrel :0

Hit the local hardware store and find a wave washer. The don't tear up the protector like a lock washer, but hold tension against the protector when it is screwed in. Between that and a bit of teflon tape, you should be good.
