*I searched around, and didnt really find anything that I was looking for, sorry if this has already been brought up*
My mother in law works with a guy who is a gun nut (cant blame him there) he is however the definition of a mall ninja. He just purchased a keltec sub 2000 and proudly announced to several persons at the business (my mother in law included) that he was going to start carrying it in his bag with him daily as ANOTHER P.D.W.(in addition to two others he carries daily). I was thinking she was trying to describe some sort of AK/SKS with a modified/aftermarket butt stock, turns out it is a sub2k.
Ok, long story short, does anyone know what the legality issues of CARRYING around what essentially is a semi automatic rifle in a backpack on a daily basis? This is all happening in the Phoenix, AZ area. I think it would be frowned upon if i took my AR, broke it down into two pieces and started carrying it around.
My intentions are not to get anyone in hot water, this is more so for my own knowledge base. It just sounds stupid to me.
