i was reading that these are supposed to be the top of the line when it comes to reliable tracking and shooting. has anyone tried one and have real world use?

Re: kelbly march scope

You can use the search routine and look for "March" on the subject line. Member "dar" had a couple of new March variable scopes and later sold them. You can look for his posts and reasons why he no longer has them. IIRC, they do track well and have a very clear image. Nevertheless there were issues and you'll have to track down his posts. I think the bottom line is that they might be great for benchresters, but not as good for tactical/field shooting.

Re: kelbly march scope

Hi i have just purchased a March 10-60X52 BLong range scope with wire cross hair and 1/16" dot. the reason was my Nightforce BR 12-42 shit itself in a major comp the internals and paralax died and the shoot cost me over $1500 to go to and to loose because of a lunched scope was the end of it i have sent it back to Nightforce and they have had it for 2 weeks and have not even had the courtisy to call me and say they have recieved it that was to Nightforce Australia.

So the model i purchased is for F Class from 300 yards to 1500 yards it works better for me because it has more elevation than the Nightforce BR and more magnification. So would i get one for a full tacticle rifle no i have my Premier for that but for a F Class scope so far it is 5 times the Nightforce BR.

the clicks are positive and repetable and exactly to the 1/8moa so far so good i am about to use it for 5 days of shooting in the Victorian Queens prise starting in 2 days so can give you some better feedback if it gives me the edge and i come away with the gold.

But the ability to go to 60 power and 60moa is a big plus the elevation is more of a plus as i go from 300 yards with my 7mm rem SAUM to 1500 yards with no problems at all on a 20 moa base.

Re: kelbly march scope

A great site for some more information.

The 2.5-25 is very interesting but needs more reticle choices .

I have a March 40 X for short range Benchrest - no more dealing with the B.S. from leupold ........
It was well worth the money.

Scott - try shooting with a March and see what you think then .
