Good afternoon everyone, I'm not 100% certain if this question is cool here, please remove if not. But I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to sell a rifle to in Kentucky? I tried a certain gun co, but they said it had too many upgrades (only the furniture and extension tube). And I've heard the consignment shop with the BRc initials has caused some people to have distrust with themselves. I wanted to see if there's anyone with better knowledge than I do. Broker is a last resort, due to the fees and risk of payment mess. If there's any clarifications, please ask. I welcome the recommendations, thank you.

I hadn't thought about this forum to sell on, I figured it would be like the HK one, with heavy prerequisites to put a sale on. I'll try the classifieds first though, then try here if I have no luck, thank you for the link!

Ky. Armslist can be productive. $7.99 a month & you can cancel any time. But it sounds like it' might be an AR. If so, a gunshop may not want it at all, or if they make an offer it will be low, really low. There's a glut right now.

Have a good friend that works at Toyota? Good odds on that as 12K work there. Or have they stopped allowing gins to be advertised on the bulletin board there?

That's one I'm not too familiar with, I should check that too. And it's an Mr762 with G28 furniture, so it will probably fall in an odd spot, especiallywith the a4 release.

And while I live right by Toyota, I only know people who work for the sub companies, and Frankfort, so sadly I don't have any info on that

Stevens gun shop in Ashland might put on consignment for you or might just buy from you and sell
They look like they will be worth sending an email to. The gunshops in my town are nice guys, but they don't really do much in terms of buying, they're really small with most traffic being transfers. It's annoying how just a swapped handguard, grip and stock/buffer tube makes it too custom for groups like KY and Buds

Ouch! The MR 762 looks like a premium rifle from a premium maker, & a premium price.

Fine goods, but maybe a tough sell. Good luck. Even with the higher salls fees, ya might have to go national on that one.

Yeah, it's cool, but I've honestly lost interest in it, and am changing course before finishing it, so I never even got an optic for it. I'm intending to use it to fund a bolt action build instead.

Thanks, and yeah, I just wanted to give in state a shot before expanding outward first. And even then, I'll probably go for using here before GB. And the HK forum rules for sale eligibility were pretty rough the last I checked, which is a bummer.

Antique & Modern Firearms on Burt Rd in Lexington should work - they are consignment only - consignment fee is 17% I believe. Evans Firearms In Lexington on Regency Rd is another. And, Gilbert's Guns is a nice store on Louisville Rd. in Frankfort, along with Mike's Guns in Frankfort. All good places.

Ahh, I've actually heard of Evans and Mike's. Would there be a benefit to consignment outside of an auction, or would it be better to just find a place to outright sell?
