Kestrel won't update

I have a Kestrel Sportsman that I upgraded to a 5700 several years ago. I went to use it Monday when trying g to sight in and get data for a new rifle. When I went to connect it to my phone via the Kestrel Link app it connected then immediately said I need to update the firmware to version 1.75. I am currently running version 1.55. I have tried to update it several times on 2 different phone as well as my tablet. It goes through the entire process then the Kestrel reboots itself. Each time it is still on version 1.55. I sent an email off to Get customer service yesterday but haven't heard back yet. Has anyone else experienced this before?

There's been a few posts in the Kestrel thread. In no particular order, try a factory reset on your kestrel, use the non-ballistic kestrel app to push the update, put the kestrel in weather mode, and/or use a different phone/device to update kestrel.

I had the exact issue you described on my Elite but the Elite X worked without issue. Above things solved the issue for me.

You could always pick up the phone and give them a call, they are very helpful!

Putting the unit in Weather mode seems to be the current most effective "jiggle the handle"

Close all phone apps, reboot, put in airplane mode.
