Rifle Scopes Khales

Hey all! I just noticed there are quite a few Khales scopes on the optics selling forum. I was just curious as to why there are so many on sale. I have one and absolutely love it. Are there any issues with them that other people are experiencing? Likes/dislikes? I guess at the end of the day all that matters is that I truly love my scope and will be hanging onto it :)

Maybe because for just a little more money you could have a ZCO. Not that Khales is a bad scope, but after getting my ZCO 420 I'd pick it over a Khales for about the same money. Now if Khales were $500-800 cheaper it might be a different story.

Like everything else in this game, folks are upgrading and trying new shit. I have owned five Kahles' over the past 3 years. They are outstanding scopes, but I just wanted to try something different. I still have a k624i with the SKMR 3 reticle.

The used optics market is absolutely flourishing. The growth of the sport, combined with the constant innovation in the optics industry, has created a marketplace of trials. Essentially, folks buy something for the simple fact that they want to try it. When they are done with that one and want to try the next one, that used one normally hits the Classifieds.

We all benefit from that perfect storm.

Before I ever buy anything I really research the heck out of it. Then purchase it and keep it for as long as it lasts :). Even though I’m a Vascular Surgeon I work darn hard for the dough.... doesn’t grow on trees.
I do the opposite. If I want something I buy it. If I don’t like it then I sell it. If I like it I may keep it, but I get bored easily and would probably sell it anyhow.

When I bought my dirtbike I purchased one from every manufacturer. Had 5 in the garage. Sold them off one by one and kept the ktm. I do this with everything. I have figured out it matters what I like and not what other people like. Reviews are good if they answer specific questions that you may have about a product. Other than that they mean nothing.

Used to ride Honda 450. Too many injuries so quit riding. Not going to lie miss throwing leg over a bike. Nothing better! Even shooting

Alot of it is reticles. I had 2 matching 624 skmr3 and just sold one to a buddy. I honestly cant complain about the scope except for a few items. I brought them because they filled the bill for everything I wanted. They are still a good optic but ....

1. I think they are overpriced.
2. New vortex reticle is my perfect reticle with both .2 and .5 marks.
3. The warranty isnt my favorite.

It's a perfect PRS scope but I wanted the addition of .2 Mark's and a warranty that I disnt have to worry about.

Now the razor with ebr7c still isnt perfect but I love the reticle and the no bs warranty. The optic isnt what I want in some ways but I tend to keep things and be really hard on them.

When I got back into long range shooting I picked up a Vortex Razor, Minox ZP5, Steiner M5Xi and a Kahles 624i. I still have the Minox and Kahles. To my eyes Kahles glass it top notch, the clicks are solid, the second rev indicator is cool, top mounted parallax is rad and the SKMR is probably my favorite reticle YMMV tho.

Words from Europe, so different perspective. Few weeks ago I had the opportunity to grab a k525 for 2200€ and I went for it. My other scopes are top notch ( zco 527, NF atacr 735, March fx 5-40) and I have to say that the Khales is definitely in the same league. Then personal taste kicks in and how do you weight single aspects ( k525 might have a little less fov than others ) but you can’t go wrong with these. On this side of the pond a Khales for 2200-2500 is hard to ignore when NF or ZCO are at least one grand more expensive and you can get it serviced in a much easier way if needed.
