I am building a 10/22 off a zimmerman receiver using all kidd internals and barrel, my question is single stage or double stage trigger? I have never used a double stage trigger.

I have both and honestly have to say... I like both!!!
I have a 3/6 oz 2-stage on a 20" target rifle and a 2 lb single stage on my "rabbit" rifle. Both break like glass, both 100% reliable and safe.

I prefer the single stage. One of the finest triggers you'll ever pull.

I have both as well, and I prefer 2 stage. My favorite trigger on any of my centerfires is a 2 stage (on my TRG) and I've often said I wish I could have that trigger on all my rifles.
The KIDD 2 stage I have on my 10/22 is a close second favorite. I dismiss the notion of 'letting the trigger surprise you when it goes off' and it is pretty distinct that your through the first stage and into the second and that you're going to break the trigger with a 2 stage trigger.I think that leads to more accurate shooting.
The single stage triggers I have that I really like are capable of being set to around 2 lbs or so, and break really cleanly, which the KIDD single stage trigger does, and I do like it, just prefer the 2 stage.

After having them both, I now have only the two stage models.
It's personal taste, and mine runs 8 oz/8 oz. Just enough to feel it, but light enough so it will still surprise me just a little every time it breaks.
Whichever one you like the most is the one for you.

Never had a two stage till my geisselle nm. Ended up loving it. Have both single and 2 stage kidds, prefer the 2 stage. 8oz and 8oz

Two stage is my choice.
Now that I am used to two stage triggers (took all of a few trips to the range) I dont care for single stage triggers at all.
