killer robots: Terminator realized

As the Neo-Luddites mass in the General Assembly, Sky Net becomes self-aware...

Well, at least they'll constitute a target rich environment, all bunched together at the UN and all...

BTW, who says that only governments should be entitled to own and operate UAFV's?

I think it's the ultimate LR shooter...; IMHO, if a government can use them on its citizens, the 2nd Amendment makes the reverse just as reasonable.

Go fer it, Boeing; let's get those things to the general market, and soon!

Science Fiction authors have been exploring the ethical dilemmas that intelligent robots pose for many years now. It's not so much sci-fi now as many would think. The reality has arrived and humanity most definitely should address these questions now, as silly as it may sound to some.

It's most likely however, that much will go un-addressed until some hard reality forces us to do so.

And no, I have nothing against technology, nor even robots. I do however, understand a bit about humans and the lengths they will go when it comes to weapons of war. Remember history, as it tells us that the most horrific weapons of war were often created and justified under the auspices of saving lives during a conflict.
