I'm shooting a Kimber 8400 tactical. Same rifle, just in a non adjustable a5 mcmillan stock. Seems to be a solid 1/2 moa rifle. I'm loading 45 gr varget in olapua brass and shooting a 155 gr scenar. 5 shots at 100 yards can be covered with a dime. Havn't tried longer ranges yet. Should be no problems. The thing is made like a tank. I really like the way it balances for offhand shooting.
That would be correct on the integral mag. I took this rifle in a trade, if I keep it , I will have cdi or badger bottom metal installed so I can use a aics mag.
Interesting I wonder why Kimber went that route? Looking at their hunting rifles I see these are the same. Odd when most manufacturers are now offering box magazines.
I have one and its a good shooter. I set mine up with a Leupold 8.5-25x50 MK4 scope. Been using 43.5 IMR-4064 with a 168 SMK, solid 3/4 or less for 10 rnd groups all day long. Other than adjusting the trigger pull lighter it's bone stock. Are you looking to buy one? If so i'm on Long Island. If your from here drop me a PM and we can meet up and you can check it out first.
