Surefire, the flashlight, silencer & hi capacity magazine manufacturer is closing down it's Edged Weapons company. Not enough marketing for their high end lineup. Quality is very good on their dozen or so limited edition models. The first 2 releases (pictured above) numbered 1000, sold out quickly.

Nice knives, I agree. Never hear about them on knife forums though, and at the price point it was stiff competition going up against known quantities such as Chris Reeve, Strider, and Hinderer. Can't say I'm surprised, as it is a tough market to break into.

Re: Knife company calls it quits

I remember seeing their first effort - it was like the supercalafragilistic tactical Swiss Army knife. Regardless of build quality, it screamed gimick (cough *crap*) to me and I never thought about their knives after that.

Maybe now they can divert those CNC machines to cranking out their long over due .22 suppressor or their new 7.62 models (w/ brakes).

Good luck
