Knight's M110 value

If you've been lurking a while then you should know that this will not go well for you. Asking a value is like advertising a sale here. Just some friendly advice...

If I am not mistaken, there was two sets of M110 starting at 28K on GB. Please keep in mind that this was for both units at 28K. There was no takers. Also, two MK M11 Mod 0 for 12K with no takers. Just an FYI.

The funny part about those M110 KAC rifles... I have submited half a dozen product quality deficiency reports (PQDR) for there barrels being unserviceable with less then 300 rounds.

Find me one currently available for less then 28k
Are you looking to buy or sell? If you have one, and wish to know the value then the value is what someone is willing to pay you for it. Feel free to post in in the for sale section at 28K and see how you do.

By the way, I am not a broker so I am not going to "find you" anything.

Well, you indicated that I was using crack when I gave the prices I found on line. I just figured you must know where there was another one available for a lesser price. I thought I was pretty clear in my original post that I was selling. Really, I have no idea the real value of this gun I did a trade deal based on current internet prices that I found. I realize they are all over the place. I know the gun is overprice but very collectable to the right person. I was just hoping someone on this board kept up with current price trends. Guess I will just advertise it for sale and not bother asking questions around here.

I find that hard to believe

M110 SASS by KAC with listed serial numbers (03355, 03281, 03360) have been submitted for PQDR for an unsersiveable barrel at 300 or less for a round count. Additionally, four barrels were recieved for replacement as factory new and were also submitted for PQDR due to factory defects.

Description of unserviceable in this circumstance is: Excessive barrel erosion, excessive headspace, eroded throat with peeling of rifling, and excessive pitting throughout bore.

Description of factory defects in this circumstance is: Improper gas port hole placement, loose barrel extension, improperly cut chamber, and erosion gage reading at "5" out of the box.

Believe it or not thats the truth

Did you trade for the entire package or just the rifle? The entire package deal retails for like 25k, if it's the black 20" rifle by itself that retails for ~4000. Hopefully you did not get hosed too bad on your trade deal.

I love the fact that someone asked a value, granted not the wisest idea, and yet here come the haters wanting to trash it and get into the merits/defects of the platform. If this were actually a "for sale ad" you would have been told to take that shit elsewhere and quit crapping on the thread. The OP was mis-informed and pulled the post when he realized his mistake...

is it normal for any rifle to come in for service after less than 300 rounds?

No, it is no common for a rifle to come in for maintenance after only 300 rounds. These rifles in question were shot by their operator and then turned them in for maintenance due bad grouping, won't hold a zero, ect...

Yet they somehow made it through the testing and accuracy requirement that is MANDATED (and a large part of the cost/expense of the KAC rifles/system) before they leave the factory.

Getting a bad gun is not impossible, but a bunch of them by the same group..... raises some questions. There is probally more to this story.

To the OP, 28K is retarded. The Army/DOD pay around 12K for a M110/K1/K2 system last time I checked. That is with all the testing and the whole kit. Anything much more than that is a complete waste. You could piece together a kit for MUCH cheaper. In fact, the M110 is kind of going in a different direction now that Big Army is finally listening to its operators and people at KAC who have been begging for changes to the system for years. They are moving away from the long barreled systems with fixed/M110 stock and to 16" accurate .308 carbines with collapsable stocks. M2010 will fill the gap at the upper end of the M110/SASS limits.
