I read that Kolbe vs Hogan was one of the cases that they were going to decide if they were going to hear or not, is the case going to be heard by SCOTUS or did they pass?

Well now it would appear (to me at least) our tragedy in Texas may have a small but very important bright side.

Many of these bans/court decisions are based on the idea you can just pick another weapon system to defend your home.

They fail to see that gives an advantage to the criminals. The AR15 vs AR15 shoot out opened some eyes I hope. I hope the lawyers on our side can show that little tidbit of fact.

Here's the thing for me though, the SWAMP will fight this at every turn. They've proven that by refusing to bring up national reciprocity. The republicans have the majority but the have wasted a full year doing nothing but fighting Trump at every turn.

The courts say states must recognize same sex marriage. Fine. I disagree but whatever. If that's the case, why can't the courts say if conservative states must recognize your state issued piece of paper saying same sex couples are married, why can't the same courts say liberal states must recognize a state issued piece of paper saying concealed carry is okay? The answer is the SWAMP and control.

Gun control isn't about gun violence, it's about CONTROL of the masses.

Neil Boortz was a radio talk guy that retired several yrs ago. One thing he would mention on occasion was that the SCOTUS should be moved to Kansas or somewhere in the middle of the country to keep them away from DC. I think it is a great idea.

When the Supreme Court denies to hear any new grants, does that not affirm the lower court ruling? I don't see from the link posted above that SCOTUS is hearing this case again. I hope someone tells me I'm mistaken.

You are correct, the lower court ruling stands, the ban remains.
And there is no indication of a rescheduled hearing on it....

I don't give a fuck what the SCOTUS has to say, these fuckers have ruled against the constitutional constraints on government so often the Government we have today is basically enslaving us. the last bit keeping up from actual gulags is the threat of death from the population. It would probably be upheld by the current court. Kennedy would likely side with the commies and I wouldn't be surprised if Roberts and even Alito joined him. Even Scalia said some restrictions were OK. Thomas is the only one that can be trusted as far as the 2A goes.

That may be true, but how are the same bans working out for them in NY an CT. They can pass any law they like but the Volstead act did not work out, so well either? Political agenda does not over ride the COTUS, nor can the SCOTUS over ride it. When push comes to shove we'll see which side has the fortitude to up hold the COTUS.

Volstead was about money but only secondly, to wants. Money men just supplied the needs/want. Athens Tenn 1946 on the other hand more parallels today's issues, with a want throw-ed in. I don't care what the courts say, when they are operating 100% on a political agenda. Every time there are major gun cases to be before the courts there has almost always been a mass killing, that is fact. Coincidence I think not, so as far as the law is concerned when the tic's an money men start falling under the same laws as I, only then will I deem them a proper an just law. I am not to be trusted with the same kinds of weapons I was issued to protect an project this country's will with, what kind of double standard B/S is that?
