Kowa 554 durability?

Been looking at going lighter than my Razor 85mm and like the Kowa 554.

My only question is with how light it is even compared to other 60mm spotters how is the durability?

Wont be duty use but packed in the back of a truck, prs/match use, hunting. Nothing i can foresee being truly abusive but not babied either.

@Ericsl2 any reason you went 553 instead of the 663? I can't decide between compact but less magnification or larger but more magnification.
Uses: hunting, long range plinking to 1200 yds max

The 553 has Prominar Pure Florite optics vs the Prominar XD in the 663. The 553 is optically superior even though it is a smaller objective.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Heard nothing but excellent reports on the glass and sounds like though its light it doesn't give up on durability.

Checked warranty and its limited lifetime. So will cover any breakdown aside from normal wear and scrapes. Even covers caps/plastics for the first owner.

Kowa durability and warranty is excellent.

The 553/554 glass as Doug said is of the highest quality.
