Im adding a QD sling receptacle to the left side forearm or my Bravo. The M lok fasteners only attach to the plastic part of the forearm. Is this the correct way to do this or does it need to be attached to the aluminum?

No problem. I've got the magpul qd stud on my bravo forend too. Make sure you get the wing but deals turned out correctly. I pulled it right out of an AR stock trying to load up on a bungee sling and smacked myself in the face. Turned out the t-nuts weren't actually turned 180* to the slot that time.

I wish KRG would figure out a way to integrate flush cups for the Bravo and XRay. I had the same issue sam4886 had. I really don’t trust the plastic M-Lok cut out after that.

I may look into some longer bolts and maybe drill into the aluminum and tap it. Im sure the plastic will hold up fine but my rifle weights 16lbs so Im a little leary.

The polymer should be plenty strong there. It's well supported and feels solid.

I threw an anti-rotation BCM m-lok qd on because I had it in the parts bin. Works plenty well enough to carry and sling up in the arm cuff.

I initially used the "Ambi Sling Mount" but have since moved to the Spigot mount to move my bipod forward and add a QD cup. I would hesitate to mount a QD cup to the M-Lok slots on the plastic forend and prefer the metal attachment point of the Ambi Mount or Spigot.

Mine seems pretty solid also. I usually don't do much more then use the sling to carry the rifle around though. As long as you buy a good quality parts you should be fine. My bigger concern was making sure the cup was good and the ball didn't pull out there. That can be an issue on cheaper cups.

I used an mlok sling mount on my bravo's forend this past hunting season without issue. Now my rifle is just under 12lb with a loaded 10round mag and it wasn't being carried more than a mile or two at a time. if my rifle gets any heavier I'll probably get the spigot mount for peace of mind

The KRG QD sling plate mounted on the spigot mount is the perfect solution paired with a sling with the recessed button GrovTech sling connectors like I've got on my Viking Tactics sling.

I use the mlok qd Mount with out any problems. If you have a spigot, KRG makes a qd Mount and its only a couple of bucks more than the mlok Mount. I got my mlok before my spigot, otherwise I would have gone with the spigot option.

Waiting for the action and PROOF CF barrel on this one so I figured I'd show what the backbone with the spigot mount with Pic rail and QD plate attached looks like without the barreled action. This thing is rock solid. I've got the ARCA rail and the heavy T-slot weight on the forend, there is not even the fleeting thought of flex that some had claimed they could perceive in a Bravo.

Now i see why the spigot mount is so expensive. That is a nicely made piece. Looks strong as hell.
It's a CNC crafted, functional piece of art. I've got the polymer ladder rail covers on my aluminum pic rails to keep them from getting dinged when I don't have what's supposed to go on them mounted.
I'm also using two of the ARCA clamps with heavy barricade stops so I can either use just one as a regular barricade stop and for better weight distribution, or I can use both for a fence, or a rope and essentially clamp the fence, or rope like in a vise to get a more stable platform. Where was all this when I was still in the service?
Below is a pic of the rail with both ARCA clamps mounted on just the backbone and forend.
