Krg bravo torque

Every action and chassis are different and mate different. You may want to try around 60 to 65 inch pounds and play around that. Your rifle will tell you. Don't be afraid to drop down to the 50s if you have to.

The torque specs are provided by the manufacture. Most chassis and aluminum pillars type setups are in and around 65 in lbs. Don’t forget a cunt hair of blue loctite.

If you’re looking to tune by fucking with torque specs, I would start with 2 under spec and tighten by 2 as you shoot for groups. You’ll need a good torque driver. A lot of the common ones including fix it sticks max out at 65…the manufacture spec.

Seems kind of attitudy?

I have a custom action with a top tier barrel cut by a top smith and it won’t shoot. Trying to tie down all loose ends

There will be no question about it if I was talking shit guy.

However, yes if you’re having that bad of accuracy, and you’re using around the recommended torque specs, I wouldn’t think that has anything to do it. Sometimes you can play with it and close things a wee bit, if that.

Did you contact the smith?

what action screw torque have you found best for accuracy?
I think I went 45 and 65. But, I also banged the buttstock down a few times then double-checked the torque again to make sure everything was tight after a few bumps.

Maybe @Massoud (I hope this is still active) can chime in and help?

I forgot to add, I thought you only shot AI’s? This sounds blasphemous

Double check the length of the front screw. Make sure it isnt protruding thru and making contact with the bolt. On my bravo i had to swap out the shorter screw it shipped with out for longer one but was a tad to long. Nothing a bench grinder couldnt handle

Not a hyper accurate shooter, but I torqued mine to 45 in-lb (which I thought was spec) on both of mine several times and have had 0 issues. And usually I manage to F things up so it seems to be user agnostic on big changes in group sizes. (and a data point that you can be an idiot and misread instrructions and stuff still works)

@want to be both screws come with the chassis. One is captured in the forend of the stock. The other is "loose" IIRC
