I just finished the initial review of the KRG Ops Bolt Lift.

It's a pretty solid piece with some real potential for those who do not want to or cannot permanently modify their rifle.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

Been using one of these for about 3 months now. It's rock solid and for the money you can't beat it. Chose not to epoxy and it still shows no signs of wiggle. Two thumbs up here.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

I gave a review in the official thread, but will say here there is no other choice for the price and ease of install. I even did the epoxy bedding just for fun with Marine Tex and it came out perfect. Strong recommendation for anyone with standard 700 bolt.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

installed mine today in about 5 minutes flat... spent 30 mins dry firing it and I can't wait to get out to the range this weekend. Much easier to manipulate the bolt.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

I saw this a while back, and thought it was a great idea. I have a Stevens 200 with the small knob, does anyone know how hard it would be to make it fit? If I can make it work easily, I just may have to get one.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

I just put one of these on my 700, I was originally thinking of using it an an interim until I can free up some funds to have the bold threaded and a handle installed, but I think I'm going to stick with this setup for a while. Your review really helped me make my decision. Thank you.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

I got one on a rifle I bought last year. It performed nicely and I bought at least a couple more(maybe 3, but I can't remember exactly). If it comes off/gets loose, it is because you turned the set screw. Nice and tight without the expoxy.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

In the photo it looks like the threaded insert is brass. Is Loctite OK to use with brass?

From your experience, is there any value in using Loctite on this knob?

Thanks

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

I haven't loctited mine and it hasn't come loose. I'm probably going to loctite mine out of paranoia. Loctite should be ok on brass. I don't see any reason it wouldn't be.
I think the threaded part is steel. Looking at the insert, it looks a little golden color, but too dull for it to be brass.

Re: KRG Ops Bolt Lift Review

Hey guys I'm glad to hear your Bolt Lifts have been working well. I would like to note that the insert, as well as the pins and screw itself, are all stainless steel. The insert gets a little discolored from heat during the insert process so it looks kind of like brass. Thank you all for your business, we at KRG really appreciate it.

Savage...the Savage factory bolt knob is pretty big to start. You put a bolt lift over it and it will be the size of a ping pong ball.

I had a KRG bolt lift for my factory 700P bolt. It worked great but a little to large for my liking. Never got in the way of me working the bolt but it was more a cosmetic thing.
