Kubiak is GONE! About time

Texans released Kubiak this morning. Wonder who they will pick next. I'm not comfortable with Wade Phillips as a head coach next season either to be honest.

Too much talent on a team to have such a shitty year and reputation as an overrated team. Time to get someone who can finish putting the pieces together to make the team last as a contender.

I was really hoping Kubiak would work out in Houston. After last year I thought that he had finally put things together. I think that he has a very good offensive mind. With his Alex Gibbs style of zone blocking offense you have to have a 1600-1800 running back to be affective. And a quarterback that is mobile and doesn't make mistakes. He never really had that. That last time that offense worked well was in the Terrel Davis and Clinton Portis era in Denver.

He should get a pretty good assistant job somewhere in the NFL next year.

Pray Wade Phillips doesn't win out or that's the Texans next headcoach.

Saw an analysis this morning on ESPN. Apparently the owner isn't in a "rebuilding" frame of mind. Wants to contend next year, therefore Wade is probably out as a future head coach. Talking heads seem to think the only missing piece is a QB.

Think they might draft that guy from Texas A&M? I can't seem to remember his name.....
