THE PROJECT
Build a “ranch rifle” primarily for hunting, night operations (hog/yote) and occasionally executing paper/cardboard/steel at 500+yds.


THE SPECS
Action
REM SA RH 700 – user supplied takeoff 700 PSS
Replace REM bolt with tactical bolt.
Install BADGER 20MOA Picatinny rail.

Trigger
Replace REM with TIMNEY
Tune to 2.0 – 2.5 lbs

Bbl
BARTLEIN 18” 1 in 10 twist.
Chamber to .308.
Thread 5/8-24, Include thread cap/protector.

Stock
MANNERS T hunting/tactical stock.
ATLAS front rail

Bottom Metal
BlackOps, Detachable Bottom Metal
Pillar bedded.
Include 5rd AI magazine.

Colors
Stock: Flat Black
Bbl Action: Cerakote Flat Black

FINAL THOUGHTS
I believe it’s a keeper. Impressed with fit, finish and attention to detail. Rock solid, relatively lightweight and maneuverable, drop the bi-pod and it's balanced enough to shoot offhand. Looking forward to trying out some “Hide” recommended loads and seeing how it performs at longer ranges.
