Kuiu founder died today

Sorry - posted in another thread after you.. Although my son texted me from Wyoming about 5.. Does not look like he did so with his boots on though... heard is young son found him

wow.

Just terrible if his kiddo did find him.

Guess we will hear the more complete story soon enough.

Prayers for his family.

Like everything, it might be spun and his son never was in play. But, it seems, that if he did indeed die on a remote hunt, a fall or whatever; it would be front and center on the KUIU release. Not saying anything more than they posted, would be the way to go if one needed time.

Either way, they produce most my favorite lite hunting clothes.. I even like there pants in positional matches

Crap, he is a friend of a friend and seemed to be on top of the world if you looked at his business accomplishments and trophy hunts.

If you like his clothes and gear, probably consider buying now, I know he had offers to sell out and now with him gone that seems more likely so stocking up might be a good idea.

Damn. That’s terrible. I never will understand people that do that. I know things are rough and everyone has their own struggles but nothing seems worth that, imo. Now his kids will have to grow up without him, his wife, assuming he is married will have to carry on without him. Sad.

You have to work to understand suicide, lots of reading and learning to see life from their world. And its still not easy to understand. I can now. I have lost coworkers and a close friend’s son to it. It always sucks.

He had CTE it sounds like, he had said a couple yrs ago he had all the symptoms. Thats Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, common in high level impact sports such as football for him, or could be many of our bravest who were exposed to repeated blasts in a warzone.
Repeated concussions on top of one another are the cause. They dont even need to be big concussions.

No I get it, trust me, but I don’t get it. I still don’t think anything is worth that.

I hear ya, I dont get it and it’s not a choice I would make. Of course we dont really know what his brain was like or what was going on.

Many people struggle to know they may not live the life they have and say screw it.

I believe it is probably harder for a highly successful guy like that to accept that change and downward spiral.

End point for me is to pray for him, his widow, and his boys.
