L.E. Wilson vs Redding bushing ???

The Wilsons have been better quality over the years in my experience. By quality I mean closer to the marked dimension, and more consistent chamfers. The design is the same and they can be used Interchangeably.

I agree, my Wilson bushings just look like they are higher quality. But you can't go wrong with either brand.

I'll echo what others have said, Wilson and Redding bushing share the same external dimensions. One difference is the Wilsons are cut with an internal 3° angle I believe. So in case you need a touch additional neck tension you can flip the bushing. For what it's worth I've found great results with the Wilson FL dies and have since switched all my dies over.

I read something/somewhere recently that old man Wilson decided that the tapered button was the way to go, because he felt like only the front half/portion of the neck needed to be sized. He believed that would lead to more consistent tension, across the board. And, it has stuck all these years. I was using my resizer with the button upside down, but I never found any benefit, so I flipped it back over, to normal orientation (numbers up).

Thanks everyone. I really like their products.

But I will not use their full-length sizing dies. It seems they do not have an expander. I have reloaded without the button and had seating force inconsistencies. Puzzled, I measured the neck thickness of my favorite brass (Lapua) and found the neck thickness can vary as much as 1.5 thou in a case and as much as 2.5 thou across a random selection of 25 cases (all new ones). I can see why precision shooters turn necks and use bushings with no button. That is too much work for my hunting.

Something I found out about the L.E. Wilson bushings, (and other products), is they have a 30 day warrantee. So when you receive your Wilson product make sure it works and gives you the correct dimensions.
