Night Vision L3 MTM vs L3 LWTS images

Took some pics with iPhone comparing my L3 MTM and LWTS. The MTM did really well tonight, very humid, but cannot compete with the LWTS in terms of image quality.

LWTS is amazing, and tonight is not a good thermal night, very high humidity. Apparently Insight will be coming out with a 640 MTM....can't wait for that!

You need to get some animals and measured distances in those photos....that would help to differentiate comparative performance.

Good point Skypup. The photos are taken in my backyard (live on a golf course), you can see the top railing to my deck. The pine trees on the right are 50 yards, the lone tall pine tree on the left is 100 yards, the edge of the pond is 150 yards and the back tree line is about 350 yards.

In my humble opinion Apples and Oranges fruit but yet not quite the same. MTM cannot compare to the LWTS different weight class and different year. How can a 2008 designed optic compare to say what? a 2013 designed optic.
Try comparing the LWTS to say a PAS 13B I bet they can go head to head. However, then again different genres.... Forward mounted thermal, vs. dedicated thermal.
Tried LWTS...can't afford it yet.
Not much improvement that I would retire my CNVD-Ts
