So I ran a 308 ladder in half grain increments at 330 yds. Gun was strapped into a led slead to eliminate shooter error and I found two nodes.

41.5 and 42 gr were touching and so were 37.5 and 38. Everything else had significant spread

Would you load up .2 increments or just go halfway? I don't see how much closer they could get.

I can't see them touching being shooter error since it was in both nodes and had limited input being on a mechanical fixed rest.

Thanks

Josh

Did either of those nodes result in horizontal dispersion?? The closer of the nodes in the horizontal (as long as you can reproduce it), is what I would stick with. The difference in horizontal would more likely be the result of the shooter. Vertical dispersion is what I would do my best to try and avoid.

The lower node did show horizontal dispersion. But I'm betting shooter error. If u don't steady the sled it will bounce sideways even with the 50lbs of shot on it. Took me a few shots to figure that out so the lower holes would have touched. The upper ones did.
