Lapua 6.5cm small rifle primer brass

I haven't had any issues with ignition in cold weather using small primer Lapua in 308win, 6.5CM or the 6.5x47 using CCI 450 primers.
One of the disadvantages that could pop up is primer flow or blanking if the firing pin to bolt face channel is to loose but you could have the bolt bushed if it's problematic.

longer case life , handles more pressure , cant comment on cold weather performance as its not subzero temps in Aus .
So if my issue was loose primer pockets in a gas gun after 3-5 firings; would small primer pockets last longer and get me to 6-8 firings?

yes , put it this way . i run Palma 308 .
usually Lap Large Rifle Brass gets me 5-7 loads before primers are relatively loose .
i am currently on 9 loads on my Palma brass and the primer pocket is still tight with the CCI 450 magnums .
155gr at 2880 fps from a 22" isnt " mild "

so theoretically the 6.5 should be around the same

I use it with cci br4 primers with no complaints. I'm on my fifth reload. RPR 6.5 does give a little primer flow, but the sds are great. I'm retiring all the other brass brands I have for warm up rounds I use Hornady brass.

Ok. Did standard Federal 205 primers in 1x Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass, 42 grains Reloder 16, neck sized only.

203 yards....

Top group is no magnetospeed mounted, bottom group is with magnetospeed mounted.

Factory Berger 130 ammo did 2810, SD 13, ES 39, and a 10 shot .75 MOA group.

Looks like I've duplicated factory performance. Load development is done on that bullet :)
