Lapua brass

I am going to order some 308 lapua brass and noticed they make it in both large and small primer pockets. Is there a reason one would choose one over the other? I plan on using 175gr smk's and varget as my powder.

The small primer pocket brass is specifically designed for Palma shooting. There's already been some discussions, check out the link:

Unless you need the brass for Palma just get the regular.

Go with the large. Small takes some re-tooling and load development. The Palma stuff is exciting, but is hard to find at this time.

Large rifle primers are the standard for off the shelf .308win ammo.

I would stick with that.

I recall some reading material I came across that tested the Lapua standard vs palma .308win brass... The results were nothing special

Lapua palma brass is not hard to find.....www.gunstop.com has plenty on their shelves...
