I did some quick searching and just found some general reviews about these.

Would a LAR OPS-4 be a good starting point for my .223 12.5" suppressed upper? I was thinking that since you didn't have a place for the charging handle, you wouldn't get gas blow back in your face.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Hey Raider, Just saw your post in a search and I have an OPS-4 receiver on my 7.62x39 ar build. I really like them as they are ambi (for me) and they don't need charging handles, forward assists, etc. I'm no expert, but I really like the ergonomics, fit/finish, and quality of the piece. TBW- the bolt carrier doesn't have any grooves (due to no assist) so there's really nothing to wear or get overly dirty. Pretty slick.

Good luck.
