What's a couple of the better large caliber eg. .338 Norma Magnum or .375 Lapua magnum as far as accuracy at extended ranges? From what i've been reading the Norma Mag is outperforming the Lapua in accuracy by quite a bit.

After testing both for a year and a half I have to give the 338 Norma Mag a slight edge. In the same rifle the recoil is slightly different between the two and that may have helped. With two good bullets available or soon to be available, Hornady and Berger, that will level the playing field somewhat. Don't leave out the 30 calibers. The 300 Norma Mag with 208 gr. bullets and heavier is an eye opener. As are and soon to be other large 30 cal. cartridges. The bullet is more important than the cartridge case. Heavy efficient bullets get the job done at extreme distances.
