Get the Hog Saddle! You will be happy. I'm an amputee and shoot from my wheelchair exclusively and it does not move. Just make sure you use a quality tripod, such as the Manfrotto they suggest.

use it for my crossbow when on the ground deer hunting and my rifles for shooting coyotes

A cool thing about the Hog Saddle is that it is compatible with any style of rifle stock. (Example: picatinny railed, hunter contour, tube guns, and the larger stocks from McMillan and AI)
A lot of military and LE guys are mounting their issued Leupold Mark 4 spotting scopes on their Hog Saddles too. This allows the spotter to transition to shooter without changing tripod heads.
No need to worry about the rest slipping under repeated recoil.
The Hog Saddle has been extensively used with 308 gas guns and 300WM, 338LM bolt guns with no issues reported.
I also just added the new Mil-Spec Aluminum Knob to my webstore. It can be purchased individually as an upgrade or as a complete Mil-Spec unit.

Custom XLR chassis'd Savage
PGW Coyote in a McMillan A5
Works with all of them- I am happy!
