Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESULTS

Thanks, Kurt! And thanks to Roger and Werner for helping run the match as well!

Good shooting Ryan, Larry & Randall ... glad to see the California & Utah guys out for another match despite the long haul.

See you all next month.

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Kudos to the guy using the shorty AUG who stuck it out for the whole match! His score was better than some I have seen.

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Thanks to Kurt

and all the guys that helped out to make the match fun

it was great...you are all good shooters and its was fun to see all of you again

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Thanks Kurt. That 243 that Randall built just about shoots itself. I think after AZ, I'm going to save it only for big matches. Don't want that barrel going south too soon. See everyone in AZ.

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Ryan PLEASE keep shooting that thing in 10 shot strings as fast as you can

its kinda cool how the barrel gets hot

And keep using it in practice as much as you can just to keep the round count up and all

we Don't want you to save that barrel for Vegas match's

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Lol. I should buy another barrel now I guess. After this years big matches and practice beforehand, it'll probably be done by the end of the year.

I'll bring my 260 next time. Just for fun.

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

NO...bring the 17 HMR and the rest of us might have a chance

And the .260 back in sept still kicked my but !!!!

you need to "save" it as well

Plus Kurt likes the 17 hmr's they are more steel friendly

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Ryan - you seem to shoot good no matter which rifle you shoot! Although I will say that rifle you were shooting Saturday seemed to be hitting the exact point of aim EVERY TIME. I don't think I've ever seen the pool ball shoot accomplished quite that precisely ... impressive to say the least. I may have to get myself a "Randall Built Rifle" pretty soon ... maybe that way I can hope to keep up with you!

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Thanks Bear. Randall set that thing up right. I don't know if its the Surgeon action, the barrel, whatever...it just flat shoots.

I've got another surgeon on the way so I'll be getting rid of my stiller 260 barreled action...I'll make you a deal.

Re: Las Vegas Precision Tactical Rifle Match RESUL

Sounds like a plan, Ryan ... I'll hand carve a stock out of rough cut lumber and make some iron sights for it because I'm sure I won't be able to afford a stock or glass for it!

This sport is expensive enough already ... and I'm just running a factory stock R700!

What's the barrel life on a .260 anyway? 500 rounds?
