"DMP" -Digital MisPrint...
A name someone on this very forum conjured up, so I plagiarized it and that's what we call it now, lol.
Yes, we do it all in house. This pattern came about literally by accident. What I wanted, or least what I thought I wanted, was a blending of "1960's John Wayne/ARVN S. Vietnam Tiger Stripe Camo" blended with the modern MARPAT design.
Using a shitty shareware software package I modified the images. The software had some clunky filtering capability. I literally touched "something" on the keyboard, to this day I still don't know what, and what you see on the stocks is what it did. I liked it, mashed the save button a million times, and we've been using it ever since.
In the beginning we didn't know how/about to cut vinyl for stencil. Instead I took these images and converted them to CNC code. I bought delrin cutting boards and machined the pattern into the plastic. Kalli and I would stretch tape over the cutting boards and go to work with an X-acto knife. -13 hours to do a color. It sucked.
Were much more proficient now and I'm working on something that could make this fly at a pace bordering on the absurd. -imagine a 5 minute prep time. I think it's possible.
The quest for world domination continues, lol. . .
Thank you all for the kind words. It means a lot to all of us here.
