    California announced last week that it has added Iowa to the list of states on its ever-expanding "travel ban" list because of that state's new prohibition against funding gender-transition surgeries under Medicaid.

    The announcement by state Attorney General Xavier Becerra means that as of Oct. 4, California will no longer offer taxpayer-funded trips to Iowa for any public employee or student at a state-run university.

    Becerra's authority came from a 2016 California law signed by then-Gov. Jerry Brown that bars state-funded travel to other states that undercut LGBT rights. The blacklist already included Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.

    "Tax payer funded" meaning directly funded by the CA Gov't debit card. That doesn't include schools who use whatever funds they have from sports programs/ticket sales to fund travel trips.

    Also, these are politicians (hypocrites) of the highest order. Again, the state won't fund travel directly, but an employee will be reimbursed for out of pocket travel costs.... if ya know what I mean.

    We need to start over in Cali....... again.

    Am I to understand that Kommiefornia has done such an amazing job of funding and operating their own state (roads, schools, energy, growth, etc.) that their Eutopia is perfect and they are now ready to dedicate resources to other States? Here I was thinking that they had a major budget crisis, problems with illegal immigration, homeless people overrunning their cities, and other issues they can't seem to get a handle on.

    Why these people waste their time and energy on things so far out of their control is beyond the realm of stupidity. With their current agenda they should be driving business out of the State at a record pace. Soon the only generators of jobs will be the Tech companies, Hollywood, and Welfare..... which basically means Welfare will soon be the only income for the State.

    Good luck, California is WAY past redemption.

    We visited Disneyland earlier this year for the first time. The only lasting impression was the never ending stink of overloaded sewers. The park was oversold, and at one point, my Wife and I turned our mobility rentals around and just gave up trying to get into one of the Wannabetherelands.

    Kalifornika is a perfect window into the future that the Dems want to bring to all of us. The blind are truly leading the blind there.

    We had a nearly perfect record of visiting Disney World every year for about 40 years. Thanks to the leftward list of Disney overall, that's not likely to recur. They have utterly destroyed Star Wars with their virtue signalling; the franchise has become unrecognizable.

    I wasn't joking about the wall. I expect the place will soon become the breeding ground of genuinely lethal disease vectors.

    Is there a way to reciprocate and keep California's influence out of my states? Any who want to leave and dont agree with their policies have 12 months to do so, the rest can go down with your ship.
    Too often folks leave that shitty hole to escape what is there, only to move and try to make their new place into what they left. They ruin everything for the rest of us who had it so good before they shoved their elitist nose into everyone else's business to offer their unwelcomed higher way of thinking.

    Most politicians really don’t care what goes on in peoples head. They want votes so they can continue their agenda of power, money or both. I’m sure there are some that care for the state of the nation but thats very few and far between.
    And I’m sure we(law abiding gun owners) all know this and we all share this frustration.
