I have tried to find this answer but have had no luck. I have a 10.5 inch barrel for a tommygun. It is not installed and I do not want to install it. I am selling my tommygun is it legal for me to sell it with the gun, or is it even legal for me to have it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: laws on owning a short barrel only

um... is the Tommygun a registered machinegun? OR a registered short barreled rifle? If it is neither I wouldnt keep the two together, I would keep them separately.

You COULD be charged with constructive intent but I dont know of any cases that people have been charged.

IF its either a registerd machine gun or SBR then no worries.

"...Anyone have an Idea what the barrel would be worth?..."
5-15 years in the federal penitentiary, in proximity of the unregistered receiver it fits. Especially now that you have posted your question on the internet for all to see.

Good luck
